A little building with a big story
Hi, I’m Gregg. I make one-of-a-kind miniature buildings here in Franklin, Tennessee. Some are familiar landmarks; others are family homes, businesses, or places filled with personal memories. My favorite part is hearing why a particular place matters to someone — and then bringing it to life in miniature.
A commission is a personal, collaborative project. Each one is crafted from beginning to end, and you’ll have a chance to share what makes your building special, see it take shape, and follow along as I add the details that give it character.
1. We talk about your building
We’ll discuss the place you have in mind, the size of the finished miniature, and the features you most want to preserve. We’ll also agree on the scope and price before work begins.
2. Your miniature takes shape
Every commission is crafted from beginning to end and hand-painted detail by detail, with careful attention to the building’s architectural personality. A typical piece represents 40+ hours of work. I’ll share progress photos along the way, so you can see your building coming together and point out small details before the final painting is complete.
3. What comes with your commission
When your miniature is complete, it includes a numbered Certificate of Authenticity identifying it as an original, one-of-one handcrafted work, along with a permanent provenance label on the base.
Custom commissions start at $500
The price is determined by the complexity of the model and the architectural detail, brick patterns, gingerbread, and other details all determine how long the project will take. We’ll agree on that price before the project begins.
